Still life from a messy corner

I recently treat myself to this on line photo composition course. Learning lots but I think my mind has just hit a mental wall, lots of thinking, thinking, thinking before clicking ;) Kent also has a couple of night photography courses running in April, if you are interested go take a closer look, I'm definitely tempted*!*

13 Good eggs say hi *!*:
I never thought about doing an online course, I really need to brush up on my manual settings. Thanks for the hot tip although April's not great for me I guess he'll run them in May. Are you renovating again?
Lots of nice texture and good lines there. Good luck with the course. It sounds like fun.
Well done Annie - You certainly know how to use a camera. Polishing your talent is a great idea.
Baino - I've not been game to move off the automatic settings that my camera left the factory with, some days I know it's having trouble focusing in on what I can see so I got to be brave and move the dial to M ... but I'm going to practice with an older camera first ;) the on-line course is really good, work at your own speed and times that suit. Good price too, I've been put off by the cost of others on offer. No renos, this is the corner where all the leftovers "might come in useful one day" have been stacked*!*
Hilary - it's a good course, things are explained in easy to understand ways that make me think rather than react ... now if only I could get all the birds to sit lower down in the trees ;)
Elsie - there's lots for me to learn, but I plan to have fun learning :)
SO COOL! and your photos are inspiring! I took an online class one time- photography -but it was a bit "conceptual" and I didn't really learn anything. This sounds like a good one! Love what you have done already.
i enjoy images that capture texture, which these definitely do. the course sounds like fun!
Amanda - it is - I've also realised I'm doing a fair bit of talking to the camera too, one day we will speak the same language ;)
Linda Sue - you might like this one better. Kent also has some great photography tips to the right side on the link*!*
sounds good annie, i hope you enjoy it! there's always more to learn for sure!
It is always good to learn something new, and it is bound to make you think in different ways-exciting!
i never thought about an on line course either. good idea. i don't know anything past auto setting either. i'm frustrated most by my inability to take night shots.
annie, look at the textures and squiggles you've put together here!
love
kj
Those photos outdo most of the modern art on show at the Tate Gallery in London y'know. You ought to sell that brick wall for a couple of million ~ I'm sure they'd buy it!
Hello, so nice to "visit" you after so long!
Blogger should have a like button like face book does :)
